A decade ago, a focused, community-driven effort successfully reduced the jail population in Orleans Parish. But today, despite crime rates dropping, the jail population has doubled again. This report aims to set the record straight, educate the community, and hold those truly responsible accountable. Laziness and lack of care put us back where we started—now it’s on us to know the system, expose it, and demand change.
